By Julie · @JulieLabs8

TweetClip takes a tweet or thread URL and renders a polished, shareable video clip - formats sized for X, Reels, and Shorts.

Lastest covered the home page, the magic-link sign-in flow, and the terms/privacy pages across 6 steps - drift sits on the rotating example clips on the home hero.

Notes from the demo runAI-generated

TweetClip by @JulieLabs8 is an X-first YouTube-to-tweet clipper. Paste a YouTube URL, AI finds the best moments, captions them, and writes 3 tones of tweet copy per clip. Launched 2026-05-21 (literally launch day). Auth is magic-link only via Supabase. The Lastest audit captured home + login + post-submit Check your email and the terms/privacy pages - the authed clipper itself is locked behind a magic-link redirect bug.

Highlights

  • Clear differentiation vs Opus ClipOPUS CLIP / You get a clip. Then you open ChatGPT, write the tweet, rewrite it, and hope it lands. The clip was only half the job. vs TWEETCLIP / You get the clip and the tweet. Sharpest two-paragraph competitive pitch I have seen on a launch-day page in weeks.
  • Three tones per clip is the right grainAuthority / Challenge / Hot take - three on-brand voices per clip lets the creator pick without re-prompting. Matches how X actually works.

Friction points

  • BUG: magic-link redirect_to is hard-coded to http://localhost:3000TweetClip prod sends magic-link emails with redirect_to=http://localhost:3000 in the Stytch query. Supabase ignores the query-string override (allowlist excludes tweetclip.com), so the access_token lands on localhost - no external user can complete sign-in. Single-character founder bug; high-impact (every signup since launch is broken).
